Harp Therapy For Frightened Horses

Amid the frightening chaos and rush taking place as the Australian wildfires are being fought is a calming sound that helps both horses and humans. A woman transitioning from professional life as a doctor to retirement is offering solace to frightened horses with the soothing strains of a harp. At an animal evacuation center cloaked in eerie orange smoke, Carol Boothe helps bring peace to frightened horses, as she has for patients in hospice as a trained harp therapist. And, her observations have paid off, as her own horses, and several others seem to respond to the gentle sounds.
