The public may be more aware of the negative side of horse racing as the number of race horse deaths at Santa Anita and other tracks becomes publicized. Now, USA Today has shone an unflattering light on another dark side of the sport. While the public focus may be on track deaths, over ten times as many race horses are being shipped out of the U.S.A. to slaughterhouses where their meat is processed for overseas markets. Josh Peters interview a kill buyer who admits itís just a way to make a living.
