Twelve Days of Christmas
|
|
Tis the season of giving, everyone! And for those of us with horses, this means that the Christmas stockings will be full fit to burst! With vet bills... and thrown shoes... and wasted food... and bits of broken tack... and that thing that at some point might have been a chunk of your finger that your horse took off with a bite of carrot, but now you’re not so sure.
Horses are forever the most generous, giving of creatures, and just the perfect company to keep around the happy but financially testing Christmas season. After all, isn’t the point of Christmas to spend all your life’s savings before January so you can start fresh in the new year? If it’s not, don’t tell me. My horses have me well trained, and after all, ‘Tis the season to be jolly – and that means lying to yourself and your loved ones!
So, in that jolly-wolly spirit, I give you all Polo The Weirdo’s 100% original, totally not inspired by any real famous song, Christmas Carol. Just be thankful that you can’t hear it.
On the twelfth day of Christmas my horses sent to me:
Twelve Bridles Broken
Eleven Fences Falling
Ten Brats a Bucking
Nine Ponies Spooking
Eight Boots a Busted
Seven Shoes a Slinging
Six Hooves a Cracking
Five Swollen Legs
Four Cursing Vets
Three Crushed Feet
Two Carrot Kisses
And no money for January!
Merry Christmas, Ponybox, and a broke new year! |
