Leg injuries are the most feared injury among horse owners. Treatments normally include anti-inflammatory drugs and rest. But don't let this lead you to think that this is the only way to beat stiffness or reduce swelling.
Allow me to introduce you to the Magnet Therapy Boot.
So what is a magnetic boot?
A Magnetic Boot is a natural therapy that influences the body's own healing process by boosting circulation. Blood is an electrical conductor and blood cells have a natural current flowing through them. When injury occurs, they are knocked out of alignment. These boots are used to realign the blood flow and are used for muscle strains and windgalls to arthritis and general stiffness.
Flex Rider, one of the main distributors of these boots and use high energy earth magnets called Neodymium.
Now don't think these boots are pure magnets strapped onto your horses legs. These boots contain a nylon surface fabric with poly-fleece lining and foam interior for added comfort. Elastic strapping and hook and loop allow adjustment to all leg sizes, so you don't have to search for horse finding a pair that will fit your horse or pony. These boots are always sold in a pair because by using the boot on only one leg can cause the legs to become unbalanced. In addition, by using both boots you are able to relieve discomfort on the injured leg, as well as helping to relieve additional strain that has been placed on the good leg. The magnets are unipolar. The south pole of the magnet faces the horse because the south pole is 6% stronger than the north pole. Each magnet has 3230 gauss.
What is Gauss?
Gauss - (gous), n. [So named after Karl F. Gauss, a German mathematician.] (Elec.) a unit of magnetic density.
So do feel like this kind of therapy is right for you?
Consult a vet before using this product to see if your horse is in good health or even requires this type of treatment. Also, ask your vet how long you should keep the boots on. you can use these boots after riding but it's best to have a professionals insight on how long since each horse is different.

I have wanted these boots before, the only reason I don't have them is because the ones I have found are expensive.
