This manipulation was directly inspired the Hunger Games. I've seen a lot of Hunger Games-inspired pieces, so when I saw the movie myself, I decided that I definitely needed to make one too! It's under emotional, because this is an emotional piece for me.
Getting into the heart of this piece, the horse is not necessarily supposed to be Katniss or any of the other characters in Hunger Games. Instead, she is more an obscure tribute, just another victim of the brutality of the Games. She simply awaits her death, knowing that it will be coming for her sooner or later, whether in the form of another tribute or natural causes.
She has chosen not to participate in the carnage, but hides in the shadows hoping that perhaps she will not be noticed. Her fate will come to her, but she refuses to be a giver of death, though she knows that she will eventually become another of its victims. |
