2021 Titan: Mammon "Demon of Greed"
Back story:The darkness of night seemed to almost whisper a haunting hiss as Malikat, daughter of Woede, traveled the rocky path of overgrown vines. Glowing eyes peered at her from behind the thick wall of vines as she entered the cave. The time was near for the birth of her first foal. Tucked away deep within the cave she now rest. The cave was dimly lit by a distant creek of molten lava which provided comfort to Malikat. There were brilliant colorful jewels along the far wall of the rocky cave placed like stars which were left from ancestors of years past. She watched the glistening flicker bouncing off the hidden treasures as her mind wandered wondering what her foal would be like. Would it take after my father the great and powerful Woede, full of rage, bound to serve evil, or would it be more like its sire and the great lines of Alom. She herself battled at times between the good or evil within herself. Her love for the magnificent stallion August led her heart to follow the good. August was of noble character, peaceful, and kind. He always calmed Malikat and gave her hope that they'd live in peace. As the hours passed Malikat started her labor in the early morning . Her breathing became stressed as she pawed the ground in pain; She was frightened. Though tired and stressed, she thought she heard a noise in the distance. The sound of heavy hooves against the rocks, and cracking vines as if something large was coming . How could this be, she thought! The cave was so well hidden. A shadowy figure appeared just at the edge of the dim lit cave. She spoke in a weary voice.."whos there?". It was August! As he approached her and nuzzled her face he asked her..."why did you leave from my protection?". He sensed her distress. She spoke..her voice trembling and said, I've been having vivid dreams...darkness is coming upon us . A war..I fear the foal...but before she could finish she bellowed out in pain and clashed her hooves against the cave floor...the foal is coming she screamed. August stayed close to her. He wanted to ask her about her dreams and what she was going to say about their foal but now was not the time. Malikat kept pushing, gritting her teeth with pain...the foal finally made his arrival. August quickly spoke with excitement and said it's a colt and hes beautiful. Malikat felt relief and pride filled her heart. She stood to her feet and gently nuzzled her foal. He was jet black with bright strands of fiery red streaks running throughout his mane and tail and his eyes were a beautiful amber gold. As he stood wobbling to nurse majestic wings extended to balance him. August had to return to the herd and told them he would return soon. A few days past and Malikat enjoyed watching her frolicking foal. He was very curious and active. As he was playing for the first time he noticed the glistening jewels on the cave wall. He seemed memorized by them. He slowly walked towards them. Malikat watched carefully because the creek of lava was between him and the wall of jewels. The colt stood at the edge for a moment. She said, son please step back from the creek. The colt turned to look at her and his eyes had changed to a glowing red color. Malikats eyes widened in shock. The colt turned again facing the jewels. He spread his wings and sprung across the lava filled creek. There was only a small ledge of rock on the other side. As the colt stood tall on his hind legs striking the stones his coat change to a fiery red matching the streaks in his mane and tail. He hissed "mine... mine..." as he kept striking each jewel. His hooves began to change into claws with sharp razor tips. He had loosened the jewels and used his claws to pull each from the wall. He gathered the jewels and as he turned to face his mother he was black again. Malikat felt saddened...she knew now that he had taken the side of evil. He was a shapeshifter and full of greed. It was then she knew his name would be Mammon, the demon of greed. He returned to her side and nuzzled his head softly against her. She immediately felt calm and peaceful. August returned for them and Malikat told him they needed to talk, alone. She explained all that had happened with the the colt while he was gone. August still wanted them to return to the herd to let him play with the other foals. He still had hope he would choose good over evil. Mammon possessed a great power though even as a foal. He quickly mastered his shapeshifting and used it to his benefit. He could control and influence others with ease. He could inspire envy and greed taunting with treasures to lure them into his evil grip. Mammon grew strong and very powerful. His presence had caused corruption within the herd. The evil, and greed burned deep within his soul. He did not know the journey which he faced nor the war he was about to enter but he knew he had to leave. |

How do I Enter and Remove from Jumpoffs:
Jumpoffs are a great way to earn PonyBucks. To enter or remove a horse from jumpoffs just click on the horse name and select the Jumpoff ON/OFF slider at the top of the horse profile page. Your horse
will continue to compete automatically in Jumpoffs until you remove it, the horse is sold, the horse is in foal, or the horse is retired. Horses with Jumpoff selected will automatically be entered in jumpoffs
each day and will also be available for other member to challenge.
How can I improve My Horses Performance:
The following attributes play a role in a horses jumpoff performance: Training Level, Age, Strength, Loyalty, Conformation, Jumpoff Experience,
Breed Percentage, Feed Type, Items, Pedigree, DNA, Registry Memberships and associated Registry Ratings.
How do I breed my horse:
A breed link will display above for any unretired Stallion 3 years or older that has a stud fee set. If the Stallion has no Stud Fee set then you can't breed
to the horse. All Stud Fees collected will be credited to the Stallion owners account. Foals are born 3 to 5 days after breeding. Most of the stallion and mares traits
will be transferred to the new foal.
Horse Rank:
Horse ranking is determined by the horses jumpoff win/loss ratio over the past 7 days. This is also weighted agaist the number of jumpoffs entered. For example, a horse with a 30-2 win/loss
record over the past 7 days will rank better than a horse with a 5-1 win/loss record. A horse rank of 1 is the top horse on Ponybox.
Training Level:
Training is important for good jump performance. Horses age 2 and over are automatically trained to your barns maximum training ability for the specific breed. Typically horses increase 1 level
per horse year. The first number in the training level the specific horses training level and the second number is your barns maximum training ability for that breed (2/8).
Horses in training will show a "T" icon next to their name. If your horse does not have this icon then it is not actively being trained due to being in foal, under the age of 2, or retired.
Loyalty:
Loyalty is how loyal the horse is to its owner. A horses loyalty will increase the longer you own it and take care of it. Placing your horse for sale or selling the horse
will decrease its loyalty. Horse loyalty plays a significant role in how well a horse jumps.
Strength:
Strength is the total strength of the horse with 100% representing the horses full strength. Horse stregth will increase slightly with each jumpoff and also each night of rest.
Horses not active in jumpoffs will max out at about 80% strength When a horse is bred, both the Mare and Stallion will realize an effect on strength. A Mare can't breed if strength goes below 20%.
Feed Type:
Feed Type is the type of feed the horse is receiving. If no performance feed is being fed to the horse then it will default it Pasture Feed.
Horse feed plays a significant role in how well a horse jumps.
Head & Neck, Chest & Underline:
These features represent the horses conformation on a scale of 1 to 10 with 1 representing poor conformation and 10 representing perfect conformation.
Horse conformation plays a significant role in how well a horse jumps.
Height:
How you care for your horse in regards to feed, strength and loyalty can effect how well your horse grows in its first 9 years of life. These first nine
years of growth will also have some effect on foal birth height over multiple generations. Breeding a horse too early can lead to smaller foals. How
healthy a foal is in regards to expected height for the breed can impact jumpoff performmance later in life.
Breed Restriction:
If a Breed Restriction has been placed on the horse then only the barn that placed the breed restriction can breed the horse.
DNA Mod:
Modifications to the horses DNA that have a neutral, negative or positive effect on the horses performance and breeding. A DNA Mod will sometimes pass down to foals of the Dam or Sire.
Once a horse contracts a DNA Mod, it will always be a carrier in either a passive or active state. Passive DNA mods have no effect on the horse but can be transferred to foals
in an active state.
