So my dog needed xrays recently and I thought it could be cool to share.
These were taken as part of her health testing to make future service dogs.
In the US these x-rays are sent to the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals and will be read and evaluated by a panel of 3 vets who will say if they are health hips (Graded Excellent, Good, or Fair) or if they show signs of Hip Dysplasia (Graded Mild, Moderate, or Severe)

OFA's are sooooo important!!! My mom breeds Golden Retrievers and has had them done on her dogs also! She has one dog that didnt pass to be a breeder (she has 6 in all) and she just spayed her and kept her as a pet instead.

100% guys. I entirely agree. If you are going to breed its important to make sure you are doing your best to bring healthy dogs into the world. By testing mom and dad I know we have a higher genetic chance of producing healthy puppies.

ROXXY- Tikka is also a golden! They are awesome dogs.
