My apartment lease says landlord has right to raise the amount at any time.
In Ohio anyways.
Look over your lease, it may say the same for you.
Best of luck!

Thanks guys, that's what I thought. We both signed it so it should be legally binding. They are requesting I sign a new one. However, I don't want to have to move in a year if I piss them off either :(

Seek Legal help eith that Gem that sounds fishy to me
From what i know there obligated to that lease to a year in most cases depends on lease agreements
But my advice is to seek some law advice on that
Most cases they can not change prices in the middle
They can warn that after the end of lease there is a change
But till then that what they half to go woth

I dont think you should have to change it again. But i would definitely have someone look at it for you and give you some lehal advice on it. Does not seem fair to me.

From what i understand a landlord can no raise rent after the lease us signed
They half to wait to the end of that lease period before they can make changes

|

So after you both sign the lease if the tenant agrees to add some changes both parties will half to sign the agreement again to ensure it is Legally Valid
