How does it work??? o.0

I see many horses who are related within 1-2 gens of each other not actually be linebred?

So how do you get a line bred horse? xD

Bucki is stumped on this one and for the safety sake I always breed out 5+ gens before crossing lines back together for my own piece of mind. xD

Thank you!

I bred brother and sister at one point accidentally.
Never got the line bred DNA but I did learn that sometimes it does show up and sometimes it doesnít.
Kind of like sometimes foals who are all 10 get the record for being all 10 and some donít.
I think it may be a glitch? 😅

I believe grandparents aren't considered line breeding...kinda weird lol

So literally as long as it's 2 generations away - you can breed without the line bred DNA (from what I've seen) could be wrong

Its not just being related. Its breeding to Direct Relatives!

Breeding a Stud to his mother, or grandmother

Or breeding a mare to her sire, or grandsire.

This only goes back up to 3 generations we believe. But its breeding a horse to one that is already in its pedigree.

This is why you can breed brother and sister and not get it. Because the brother is not in the mares pedigree, not the other way around.
