Def like that idea, Pugs. Something/anything will help at this point since I'm literally down to no x-rays xD
Might just do BMC's way...keep any, wait until level 11 and see how they do b/c I can NOT afford buying like 20 x-rays every foaling week lol!! I really hope Jeff makes them more accessible..
I hate seeming like an excellent snob but very good seem to be slowly taking over my foals :') thank goodness I thought to just x-ray the whole bunch

I'm going to throw it out there that it is sometimes worth it to do the math to figure out Prime Time scores. I recently had a foal with a very good x-ray, but it scored 454, which is higher than some of my lower scoring excellents. If it co-trained to higher levels, then it would have a score that competes with many of my excellent scores. I kept that one instead of retiring it.

Bucki even had a "good" the other day Ive never seen just a good before.
Glad you spoke to Jeff Iddy I don't fancy paying 1mill a piece for them seems overpriced and that's the current rate it seems =(

I x-ray everything when born and I'll retire any very goods. I've also gotten pickier on active DNA recently and retire everything with less than 11 active natural DNA, unless the lines are exceptional.

I retire all very good foals. First I cull based on DNA and stats, then I xray what's left. I still get quite a few very goods which I think is crazy seeing as I only breed Excellent horses. I think it should have more of an affect on the foal being excellent as well. I like Pugs idea for the xrays. I talked to Jeff a few days ago and he was working on solutions to make them more accessible. Perhaps message him any ideas!

The being born with xrays is a fab idea, maybe he should do that and to unlock the Xray you just pay a fee instead. So the choice is there if you want to or not.

Here is one of my VGs that actually did really well
GS Shocking Spell 94.5"
Not all of them fail, I have a few others that jump 92-95, and some might be VG, I just havnt X-rayed them all

I keep foals based on stats and DNA.. I don't X-ray then till they hit level 11(unless its a special breeding). To be a super prospects they have to have excellent Xray and score high enough.
The Very Goods I end up keeping give me just as many Excellent foals at my Excellent ones do.
