I saw it and to be honest...am not impressed. It just did not have that George Lucas feel and personally I feel that Luke and Lea were not really involved as much this time around, but Han was really given screen time.

Yes he did, but look at his real life age. He is done with acting so much and ready to retire. If they want to do several more movies, it just makes sense. Also Ford got injured diring this last one and that probably also played a part.

I'll steel myself for the verbal abuse.
I don't like Star Wars. I've been forced to watch the older movies numerous times and I've always fallen asleep half an hour in.
I am actually a huge movie buff and sci-fi fan, but Star Wars was the only one I never got really hooked on. I think it's because of all the hype. I feel like a lot of people watch it to just be included in the fanmania.
I'd rather be watching on of these. Way better ;)
The Brain Machine
Eegah
The Wild Women of Wongo
Horrors of Spider Island
Santa Claus Conquers the Martians
They Came From Beyond Space
The Little Shop of Horrors
This is of course my own personal opinion and is not meant to offend anyone. :)

I thought it was great! I was a bit disappointed that we didn't see Luke until the end of the movie.. but I guess that was the point, to keep us wanting more. The action was awesome and I loved the actors.

Loved it! Especially in this day of 'girl power' YA movies that always seem to start with the premise 'girls cant do____' star wars had an excellent female lead who was just a strong person, it never mattered that she was a girl, she didnt need a guy to teach her anything she just kicked butt!

If Wishes Were Horses: The Force Awakens was directed by JJ Abrams, not George Lucas. That may be why it didn't have a George Lucas feel, lol.
Smile A Mile: I can understand why someone would dislike the original movies, but I would still urge you to see the new one. It is an entirely different style and experience, JJ Abrams did a FANTASTIC job with it and it's much easier to get into (people who haven't seen any of the others really enjoyed it, even).

I love all the Star Wars movies including the new one!!! I think they did a good job on it! Though was not expecting Han Solo to be killed and especially not buy his own son!!!
