I'll have been here (well, PB3) for five years come October 25th. That's the longest I've ever been on a sim site. I've played games like Howrse and Star Stables, but they can't keep me in. I don't get the same strong sense of community there as I do here.
When you visit the forums here, you can find people helping others out in many ways. Giving challenges to others' horses, answering questions for newcomers, and even raffles to help others out. You can find more experienced artists helping the newer artists, and mods/admin helping people out.
PonyBox is a community. Some people choose not to participate in the forums, but they may have their own community through messages, or a system of partners. Some people choose not to participate in the game side, placing themselves in the forum community.
But everybody has a place in the community. And the community is what builds a site like this. A community is what makes people want to keep coming back. A community brings people together. A community is a place to help others and get help.
We are a community, and that's what helps PonyBox keep members and grow. That's why people like myself, who are normally quiet and shy, feel safe coming online and posting in the forums. And I want to thank everybody for that. All of you, everybody in this community, have a role. And you are wonderful. Thank you.
